More than twenty years ago, Sun Bin was kidnapped by human traffickers. At the time, he was only four-years-old.
According to sources, Bin was taken while his family was shopping in a market in Chengdu, Sichuan. The traffickers then sold him off for 2,000 yuan to some couple who didn’t have any children of their own.
The majority of the kids that get taken are usually never heard from ever again — their families left searching aimlessly with no clues. But after years of dead-end searches, Bin was finally reunited with his real family that he hadn’t seen in over two decades.
“Dad I am back,” weeped Bin, now 28, as he was led into a police station on Tuesday. Immediately after making eye contact with his family, he collapsed to the floor.
In the video, you can see Bin’s father, Sun Youhong, kneeling on the ground and apologizing for losing him all those years ago.
“You are a man,” said his father. “Do not cry”.
Aside from greeting his dad, Bin also embraced his younger sister, who was born after his kidnapping. Sadly, his mother passed away from cancer waiting for her son to come home.
In China, it has been estimated that as many as 70,000 children go missing each year to trafficking. Some people will go to great lengths to get possession of a male heir.
