According to KFOR, a 30-year-old man named Alexander Nolan beheaded Colleen Hufford Thursday afternoon following his termination from a Vaughn Foods processing plant in Moore, Oklahoma.
Moore allegedly attempted to kill another woman, but was shot by an Oklahoma County reserve deputy and former CEO of the business, Mark Vaughan.
It was reported that Hufford was pronounced dead at the scene, while another suffered multiple stab wounds and is at the hospital in critical condition.
Police explained that there are “no immediate indications of a link to terrorism,” although Moore was recently trying to convert some employees over to Islam. The FBI is currently looking into the suspect’s background to determine his motive.
It is not yet known why he was fired.
