A Michigan man has been arrested after attempting to rob a Credit Union bank. Brian Randolph went into the bank and passed a note to a teller asking for money and stating that he had a gun.
The 23-year-old has been taken into custody and according to ABC News authorities confirmed that he never in fact had an armed weapon. Randolph apparently told police that he robbed the bank in order to pay for his daughters chemotherapy.
His one-year-old daughter has retinoblastoma, a cancer which forms in the eyes. In an attempt to save his family, Randolph robbed the bank when his insurance would no longer cover his daughters health care.
His girlfriend and mother of his daughter set up a Go Fund Me page a little less than a year ago to help pay for their daughter’s treatments.
