Dana was only eight-years-old when she told her parents that she would rather die than have to eat. It all began when she told them that she was no longer going to eat chocolate, and it wasn’t long before she became a walking skeleton.
“I never thought for a moment it was anorexia,” her mother explained. “She was so young, and she’d had such a stable, loving background.”
At one point, she refused to eat for 19 days.
