Minnie Mouse Gets New Lanvin Dress for Special Occasion

After turning heads at the runway as part of Barney New York’s holiday window display, the ever-fashionable Minnie Mouse is ready to impress once more.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris, designer Alber Elbaz has created a one-of-a-kind blue sequin and jewel-embellished corset dress for Minnie to wear as she leads a fashion parade at the French theme park on March 23.

Elbaz, who was also the man behind Minnie’s Barneys dress, was contacted “via a letter from Mickey Mouse” to work on the dress for the special occasion, according to Women’s Wear Daily. He set to work on two different dresses and fashionista Minnie had the final say on which one she was going to wear.

“When I showed her two dresses, she knew exactly which one she wanted,” Elbaz said. “She likes to show her heels and loves earrings, jewelry, colors and everything that sparkles.”

Our only question: Why does Elbaz look so forlorn in the picture with Minnie? Perhaps Miss. Mouse’s diva side came out during the whole dress designing process. We don’t know for sure — all we know is she looks absolutely fabulous. What do you think? Share your thoughts below.
