Miracle Dog Survives Being Hit by Car and Carried Over 200 Miles Stuck in the Bumper

A stray dog miraculously survived uninjured after he was struck by a speeding car in central China’s Hunan Province. Not only did the dog survive the impact, but he also carried 248 while stuck in the vehicles front grill, according to the Daily Mail report.

The driver, identified only as Mr. Zhang, now says that fate brought him and the dog together.

According to Zhang, the dog leaped out of some bushes and into the roadway—leaving no way for him to swerve out around the dog.  He said he was convinced the dog was dead from the impact and did not stop the vehicle.

He had no idea that the canine was still lodged into the front of his car.

“I was driving pretty quickly at the time so when I  hit the dog, I thought it had either died or run away, so I didn’t get out of the car to check,” he said.

Then he heard barking and stopped the car. At that point, the pair had driven over two hundred miles.

“I didn’t dare extricate it by myself,” Zhang said, so he chose to leave the dog in the bumper and carefully drive it directly to a veterinarian.

Miraculously, the dog was pronounced completely uninjured—except for a few minor cuts and bruises, which were patched up at the vet clinic.

Zhang has reportedly taken the incident as an act of fate, and adopted the stray dog on the spot. The two are apparently now inseparable.
