A missing Georgia teenager has been found alive and well Thursday morning.
Holden Michael Astrachan, 17, disappeared while riding his four wheeler in his neighborhood on Wednesday evening. He was riding the vehicle after school in the back of his housing subdivision, but when he didn’t return after an extended period of time his friends began to worry.
Sheriff’s deputies were contacted, and they responded to the missing juvenile call around 7:30 p.m. This led to a search involving local Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Georgia State Patrol. Searchers worked throughout the night but could not locate the young man. Finally, at 9:00 a.m. this morning, Astrachan was located and reunited with his family.
According to the teen in the interview video above, it started getting dark and he attempted to ride up a big hill. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it, rolled his four wheeler, and it wouldn’t start. He began walking to try and find his way home, but got lost in the dark. It was only with the light of day that he was located.
According to authorities, he appears to be in good health.
