Deadline.com is exclusively reporting that the child actors on the ABC hit comedy, Modern Family, have finalized new contracts after a month long salary renogtiation.
Rico Rodriguez (Manny), Nolan Gould (Luke), Ariel Winter (Alex), and Sarah Hyland (Haley) will all be making around $70,000 an episode, effectively tripling their current salaries.
Rodriguez, Gould, and Winter negotiated together, while Hyland’s reps handled her talks separately. Hyland (due to her previous acting credits) was making slightly more than her younger co-stars, but all are now making the same amount.
The only child actor left out in the cold is five-year-old Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who plays Lily on the show. Although her agents tried to get her a raise as well, she’s only been on the show for one season, and thus hasn’t “put in her dues,” so-to-speak.
Congrats to the young cast members for a smooth and accelerated salary raise. It was quite the opposite scenario of their adult cast members salary negotations.
