A mother in New York has been arrested after somebody filed a report of child mistreatment against her. When authorities investigated the complaint they found that the woman, identified as Chantilly Thomas, had tattooed her two young sons.
She is not a licensed tattoo artist, and her children are only 12 and 13 years old. However she is now accused of having used a tattoo gun to permanently ink the phrase “Ride or Die” on the back of her 12-year-old’s hands, and a lightning bolt onto her 13-year-old.
It’s not clear if the tattoos were something the children had requested.
Police determined the incident to be a case of mistreatment, and have charged Thomas with unlawfully dealing with a child in the second degree.
The names and photos of the children have not been released because they are minors. Thomas will appear in court at the end of January.
