Back in November, fans of the ‘90s sitcom Boy Meets World were stoked to learn about the revival of the show.
As you might know a spin-off titled Girl Meets World is underway and it focuses on Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel’s characters’ daughter, Riley.
As soon as news was out, fans waited to see which members of the original cast were returning, and went wild when they found out Savage and Fishel were to return as themselves for the spin-off. Then fans were disappointed to learn Ryder Strong, who played Cory’s best friend Shawn Hunter, would not be reprising his role.
But the latest casting news will have fans hooting in excitement again – William Daniels, who played the gang’s lovable teacher and mentor, Mr. Feeny (Feheheeeny), is coming back.
TVLine broke the news, noting “it’s not clear what function the character will serve on the Boy Meets World spin-off, but […] given his teaching background — it seems logical that he will be back working at the school now attended by Cory’s children.”
In the spin-off, Cory is following in Feeny’s footsteps and plays a teacher at the same school.
