Oscar winning actress Natalie Portman married longtime beau Benjamin Millepied over the weekend. The couple tied the knot Saurday night in Big Sur, CA in a private ceremony, according to People.com.
The nuptials took place in front of family and friends, including 14-month-old son Aleph, Ivanka Trump and Macaulay Culkin. The pair exchanged vows after dark in a Jewish ceremony and followed with a reception at the nearby Ventana Inn & Spa.
The couple met in fall of 2009 on the set of the film Black Swan. Portman, 31, was one of the film’s leads, and Millepied, 35, worked as a choreographer for the movie and also played the role of Portman’s dancing partner. In December of the following year, they announced they were expecting their first child and engaged.
Although the couple has always tried to keep the details of their personal lives private, they have made a few public statements in the past. At the 2011 Academy Awards, Portman accepted her Best Actress award with a speech in which she thanked Millepied saying “My beautiful love, Benjamin, who has now given me my most important role of my life.”
As Portman adjusts to her new life as a mother and wife, she is also juggling upcoming projects including Thor: The Dark World, and Knight of Cups.
