Newborn Baby for Sale on Craigslist in Exchange for Drugs & Money

A six months pregnant mother to be took to Craigslist to sell her unborn baby. Authorities in Atlanta, Georgia are conducting an investigation to determine if the post is serious or just a hoax.

Many have turned to the police, reporting the situation they spotted online. The officers have moved the case to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations for a more thorough investigation.

Sherry Lang, a spokesperson for the Bureau explained to WSB-TV that the claim is being taken very seriously while the department gathers more information.

“We have gotten a lot of tips,” said Lang. “We’ve gotten tips from various sources and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. We are not sure whether or not it’s a hoax, but it’s a definite possibility.”

While no laws have actually been confirmed broken yet, many are suspicious about the Craigslist post.

If the ad is false the poster could end up facing unspecified charges.

The woman who left the ad wrote a message saying, “Six months pregnant, don’t want it. Willing to trade it for $ or drugs. Guaranteed white, so don’t come at me cheap. Serious offers only.”
