Nike Unveils Athlete-Inspired Sneakers on Christmas Day

Every athlete knows the outfit isn’t complete without the perfect shoes.

Last month, Adidas teamed with the NBA on team jerseys for the players to wear for the Christmas Day games. Thunder will wear deep blue with orange trim, Heat will be showing off deep red with light white trim, and the Lakers will be sporting bright white with purple trim.

Nike decided to create a signature brand shoe for three of the NBA’s biggest stars: Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant.

In addition to their jersey’s, the three athletes will be sporting their one-of-a-kind sneakers by Nike on December 25.

Kobe’s shoe, the Kobe 8, was released earlier this month featuring a scale-like snake design meant to look like a holiday garland.

LeBron’s shoe, the LeBron X, features diamond colors of red, white and green with a metallic reflection toward the front of the shoe.

Durant’s shoe, KD V, will be a similar blue, yellow, and orange version of the sneaker by the same same which debuted in October. But, the Christmas model will complement his new jersey and look like the background of a video game graphic from the early 1990s.

The NBA will play five games on Christmas Day. See the schedule below and click here for more details on the shoes which will be available for sale December 26.
