The loss of a child is one of the most painful tragedies a parent can ever go through and every experience is unique and different.
One organization has been offering parents of terminally ill and still born babies a beautiful way to say goodbye and to have something tangible to hold on to as a memory of their short time together: by taking family photos with their infants during their last moments with one another.
Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep is a not-for-profit organization that trains and supports photographers worldwide “to provide beautiful heirloom portraits to families facing the untimely death of an infant.”
They’ve serviced 30,000 families over the last decade, with 1,650 participating photographer volunteers in the US and 40 other countries around the world.
