INCREDIBLE VIDEO: Soccer Player Saves Opponent’s Life After Getting Knocked Out

On Sunday, a Ukrainian soccer player was knocked unconscious after taking a brutal knee to the head during a game between Dynamo Kiev and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

Luckily, some quick thinking from opposing player, Dnipro’s Jaba Kankava, helped Kiev’s Oleh Husyev regain consciousness.

According to the live-blog from Dnipro’s official site, Husyev looked as if he swallowed his tongue during the violent collision.

That’s when Kankava rushed over to Husyev and made sure to clear his airway. He was then placed on a stretcher and taken to the hospital.

The team announced that Husyev suffered a jaw bruise, concussion and damage to three of his teeth.

Despite being known by millions all over the world as “the beautiful game,” sometimes, soccer can get a little heavy. While Kankava quickly ran to his opponent’s aid, the goalkeeper didn’t even hesitate or look back to make sure he was okay.

Check out the incredible video footage of the entire sequence unfolding in the video above.
