WATCH: Man in ‘Lord of the Rings’ Orc Costume Scares Shoppers

Customers at a Holland grocery store must have thought Sauron was at it again.

Last year, a giant Lord of the Rings monster strutted through the aisles of dutch supermarket, making plenty of guests laugh and some even run away screaming.

No need to worry though, Middle Earth is still just a fictional place. It was actually Dutch bodybuilder Olivier Richters, who stands at 7 foot 2 inches tall, dressed as an Uruk-Hai Orc from J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings novels, as depicted in Peter Jackson’s wildly successful film adaptations.

Richters posted the riotous video on YouTube wherein he shows off some amazing make-up and costume work that would fit right into the films. The make-up, he said when posting the video, was done by Rossanne Puck Aefjes for her graduation assignment. After that was done, they had the bright idea to have some fun while he was still in the terrifying costume.

Perhaps the best part of the video is the fact that Richter doesn’t try to scare others, but goes about his business rather nonchalantly. Uruk-Hai need to buy groceries too, after all.

Click the video above and watch as a man in a world-class orc costume scares innocent shoppers. Even though this was originally posted last year, it’s still great for a laugh.
