Pages of 12-Year-Old Girl’s Slender Man Murder Diary Discovered

Last summer two 12-year-old girls living in Wisconsin were tried as adults for attempted murder when they stabbed their friend in worship of the Slender Man, a mythic figure made popular as an internet meme.

During the ensuing investigation, one investigator found these disturbing diary pages in one of the 12-year-old’s bedrooms. The disturbing diary pages bear witness to the girl’s unhealthy obsession with the Slender Man, and an apparent distaste for non-mutilated, clothed Barbie dolls.

The Washington Post reports that the diary contains more than 60 hand-drawn images of the lanky mythical demon, as well as a grocery list of supplies needed to complete the attempted ritual murder of her friend. The girl’s defense attorneys are hoping to use the pages to argue that the girl should not be tried as an adult. The case will be ruled on March 13.
