Paramedic Fired for Taking Disturbing Selfies with Dying Patients

A Russian paramedic was fired from her job after her employers discovered a series of selfies in which she posed beside dead or dying patients in her care. She posted the images on social media sites with callous captions like “another moron” and “how I hate my job.”

According to Metro, 25-year-old Tatiana Kulikova appeared before emergency service officials in Russia. The officials fired her after she admitted to taking the images. The widespread circulation of Kulikova’s insensitive images has led to an overwhelmingly negative response.

Russian local health advocate Artem Golubev spoke on her actions:

It is clear that while she was taking these photographs she was not looking after her patients. She shows a callous disregard for the welfare of her patients, some of whom died after those pictures were taken. I would not be surprised if their families sue both her and the emergency services.

Kulikova has yet to speak to the media about her actions or subsequent termination. You can view the images she took below.
