We remember back in our early college days we could go bar hoping all night long and still wake up in time, roll out of bed and go take our mid-terms like it wasn’t a problem at all.
We don’t know if it’s that we were young and our livers were still functioning at their peak level, or that everything was so new and exciting that all the insanity was welcome, but we do know that those days are long gone.
Now when we go out drinking, there’s all this prep to make sure we’re not deathly hungover the next morning, and we have to make sure the noise level is down to a manageable level wherever we go, and sometimes mid-drinking we still wonder why we’re doing this at all instead of watching Netflix at home.
It’s not that we don’t like to have a good time, it’s just that the definition of a good time has changed completely. The infographic below, courtesy of the good folks over at Mandatory, perfectly sums up the difference between drinking in college vs. in your 30s.
