There was a time, long before the rise of the “foodie” and yelp reviews, when most families would stay home to eat a homemade dinner. To keep things exciting, they relied on a variety or recipes to serve a wholesome, balanced meal.
While some classics, like roast beef and potatoes, never go out of style, others are so bad that you won’t believe people actually served—and ate—them.
They probably thought they were being innovative and exciting. In reality, some of these vintage dishes seem absolutely disgusting.
