Joyce Kingsley, from Michigan, was enjoying some television in her home when she heard a strange—very loud—clunk from her roof.
Surprised, she hurried outside, worried that some burst of bad weather had caused something to land on her house. She found something much stranger than a tree branch hanging off of her roof. Perched on the peaks of her home was a bright red Ford Mustang.
Authorities who responded to the incident believe that the vehicle came from a nearby Interstate when the driver lost control. They believe the car was going about 60 mph when it veered off the road, through nearby bushes and trees and finally landing on the roof of the home.
It is believed that the driver of the vehicle may have experienced a medical emergency, which caused the accident.
According to reports he was treated for low blood sugar at a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
No other injuries were reported.
The car was able to make the leap to the roof, as it made its approach from a nearby hill which is nearly at the same level of the house.
While there was some damage to her home, Kingsley said she’s just glad that nobody was seriously hurt.
“It could have been a lot worse,” she told The Argus-Press.
