PHOTOS: Man Draws Portraits of Himself Under the Influence of Different Drugs

Similar to the artist who took LSD and then drew portraits of herself to see how the drug affected her brain, Brian Lewis Saunders searches for experiences and drugs that affect his perception of himself.

He seems like just an ordinary middle-aged man living in Virginia, but he has been under the influence of countless drugs and has completed more than 9,900 portraits.

On the drugs portion of his website, Saunders explains why he decided to draw his portrait while high.

As a result from ingesting so many substances, he now suffers from mild brain damage. However, he continues to conduct his experiments but over longer periods of time, and only takes drugs that are given to him.
