A user on Chinese social media has sparked outrage after alleging that the owner of a restaurant brutally beat her family. Posting her story along with pictures of bloody aftermath, the woman says the owner was enraged because he felt the family hadn’t purchased enough food.

According to a report from People’s Daily Online, police investigators determined that both parties were at fault for the argument, and both the diners and the owner will face charges for the incident.
The incident has gone viral online.
The post, along with the photos, claimed “Because my mother-in-law is allergic to seafood, we didn’t order very much. This irritated the restaurant owner.”
The family was then surrounded by restaurant workers, and an all-out brawl broke out between everyone. Some of the family members even apparently had to go to the hospital to be treated for the injuries they sustained.
The woman making the posts later deleted her Weibo account, where she had been explaining the situation, saying “I wasn’t there at the time. It happened to my family members.”
