If tourists in central China thought they would be escaping crowded cities for the peace and tranquility of the river, they were sorely mistaken.
Hundreds of tourists decided to take a trip to a reservoir popular for river rafters to launch their watercraft from. The rafts were packed so close together in the water that they became completely gridlocked.
People could easily hop across from raft-to-raft, but the boats themselves couldn’t really go anywhere.
For some reason, even though you could barely see the water for the rafts, people kept trying to lower boats into the water.
Imagine being stuck in a heatwave wearing all of that safety gear!
