PHOTOS: The World’s Largest No-Kill Cat Sanctuary

This beautiful facility is a no-kill shelter and one of the largest in the world.

Founded by Lynea Lattanzio, the Cat House on the Kings, located in California, is a sanctuary, as well as an education and adoption center where more than 700 cats currently live.

Since 1992, Cat House on the Kings has saved over 24,000 felines from being euthanized.

Lattanzio told the Huffington Post:

To me, it’s not a life if they’re in a cage. They need to be able to run full speed and climb a tree. That’s a cat.

The slideshow above features some lovely photos taken at the refuge by Christina Gandolfo, who works as a commercial and editorial photographer.
