An SUV raced through the streets of Iowa, while police attempted to track it down. Thankfully, there was a very good reason for the chase.

Ben and Rachel Kohnen were racing to the hospital at 2 a.m. on Tuesday to usher in their fourth child.

“He starts following me and he turns on his lights. And my wife says, ‘We can’t pull over. The baby is coming now,’” Ben Kohnen told KTLA’s sister-station WHOTV.

By the time the couple reached the outskirts of Fort Dodge, the police had set up a blockade. “It was too late, because they had thrown out the tire spikes,” Ben Kohnen said.

Police then greeted the couple with guns drawn. When the officers realized what was going on, they provided a police escort to the hospital.

About an hour later, 10-pound baby girl Hazel was born.
