Another day and another celebrity behaving badly. This time it’s two-time Olympian Shaun White, who exhibited bad behavior of the worst kind while staying at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville.
On September 16, at around 2am, White allegedly pulled the hotel fire alarm resulting in the hotel evacuating all the guests. The gold medal winner tried to leave the premises by a cab, and a fellow guest told the cab driver he was calling the police on White.
White then attacked the man, and tried to flee once again, but at that point the police arrived.
Two separate police affidavits state White appeared to be drunk at the time of his arrest and was “extremely intoxicated and smelled strongly of alcohol.” A hotel employee also says he deliberately broke a hotel phone.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department claim White refused to sign his misdemeanor citiations. He was treated at Baptist Hospital for injuries sustained fighting the fellow hotel guest and released.
The guest he attacked chose not to file assault charges. We’re wondering, why not? This dude sets off a fire alarm, destroys hotel property, and then attacks someone keeping him from fleeing the scene?
Sorry, Shuan. We don’t see you snowboarding your way out of this one.
