Razzies 2013: Nominess for the Dreaded Award Show Announced

Earlier this morning, we listed the nominations for the best movies of the year. Now we’re listing the contenders for the worst.

As movie buffs know, the Annual Golden Raspberry Awards– now in its 33rd year – does the opposite of the Oscars by singling out the worst movies in Hollywood.

This year’s Razzie nominees were announced late Tuesday night, and in a move no 11-20 year old saw coming, the organizers of the dreaded awards show gave the Twilight finale the most nominations in the bunch.

Although the movie was a commercial success, it managed to walk away with 11 nominations in the worst-of categories, included Worst Picture and worst lead-acting roles.

Other movies for the worst slot included Adam Sandler’s That’s My Boy, Battleship and the family friendly The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure.

As for the the worst actor category, the organizers picked Adam Sandler, a veteran who made Razzie history last year by winning a record 10 awards. Tyler Perry joins him in the category this year for his roles in both Alex Cross and Good Deeds.

For the females, Katherine Heigl is in the running for One for the Money, as are Milla Jovovich for Resident Evil: Retribution and Barbra Streisand for leading in The Guilt Trip. As mentioned above, Kristin Stewart is also a contender in the category for Breaking Dawn Part 2, as well as for her lead role in Snow White and the Huntsman.

With all the nods Stewart got this year, along with all the drama that came her way in 2012, we don’t think she’ll pull a Halle Berry at this year’s Razzies, but oh god, do we wish she would.

Here is the complete list for this year’s Razzies, which will take place on Feb. 23, the night before the Oscars.
