Robin Williams’ Widow Finally Breaks Silence About Her Husband’s Tragic Life and Death

For the past year, Susan Williams, Robin Williams’ widow, has been trying to figure out what caused him to take his life.

She said she and her husband “were living a nightmare” in the final few months leading up to his death.

“My best friend was sinking,” she explained to ABC’s Amy Robach in an exclusive interview.

It was the first time she has broke her silence since he killed himself in August 2014.

At the time of his death, autopsy reports showed that there weren’t any illegal drugs or alcohol in his system. According to his wife, he had been sober for eight years.

In the video above, she talks about what really drove her husband to commit suicide, it “was what was going on in his brain,” she said. “The chemical warfare that no one knew about.”
