In the wake of Monday’s 6.7 earthquake off the coast of Japan, we are reminded of the March 11, 2011 quake and tsunami that claimed the lives of more than 18,000 people. Although this recent quake did not cause a tsunami threat, it still startled the country’s residents.
With so many disasters and conflicts constantly taking place around the world, it’s easy to forget that this catastrophe even happened.
