December 12, 2012—the end of the world or incredibly lucky?
Well, it depends on who you ask. Some consider the number 12 lucky because it symbols so much in the human world. There are 12 hours in a day, 12 months in a year (using the Roman calendar), the 12 days of Christmas, the 12 old testament prophets…we could go on and on, but you get the idea.
It’s a big day for weddings—many people think repetitive dates are lucky for marriages (and easy for men to remember anniversaries!) David’s Bridal is predicting 7,500 women are getting married in America today.
Finally, if you have a birthday, numerologists predict you’ll be rich in good fortune and today is three times as lucky for you than any of birthday you have had or will have.
For those that follow the Mayan calendar, midnight tonight is the end of the world (side note: don’t quit your job. The White House has assured us tomorrow is still a work day).
