Star Wars Episode 7 Suffers Unconfirmed Plot Leaks

This morning there was allegedly a Star Wars Episode 7 plot leak. This could be totally bogus information — the blog site Badass Digest doesn’t source where they got this information from in the first place — but since everyone’s talking about it we thought we’d let you know what the buzz is all about. Oh, and if you don’t want spoilers, stop reading now.

Badass Digest reports that the new Star Wars Episode VII film from JJ Abrams focuses on the hunt for Luke Skywalker. After the opening scroll that we’ve all come to know and love from Star Wars movies, a Jedi Knight’s severed hand, complete with lightsaber, tumbles through space. It is found on a desert planet by two young adventurers. How it doesn’t burn up upon reentry into an atmosphere is anyone’s guess. Perhaps the Force is strong in that hand.

Anyway, the duo who find the hand and light saber are Britain’s Daisy Ridley and John Boyega. They recognize the weapon as a Jedi weapon and set out to return it to its rightful owner. Here’s how Badass Digest summarizes things from there.

Their quest takes them off world, and they meet up with Han Solo and Chewbacca, who aren’t flying around in the Millenium Falcon anymore but are piloting… well, that could be a spoiler. I’ll leave it. Anyway, Han and Chewie recognize the light saber as Luke’s, and they say they haven’t seen their friend in thirty years, since the events of Return of the Jedi.

So begins a quest to find the missing Jedi Master. Meanwhile, on an ice planet, nefarious forces are building a super weapon, one capable of destroying not planets but entire solar systems …

Rumors aside, the only official thing to come out of the Star Wars camp involves the Star Wars: Episode VII sponsored charity drive, Star Wars: Force for Change. J.J. Abrams, director of the new film, released a new video from the set, where he promotes the charity and lets fans see a mouse droid. There’s also an X-Wing in the shot and a pilot hopping into the cockpit, which is pretty awesome. Check out that video below.
