Taylor Swift Called ‘Nazi Barbie’ in Harsh Review

Famed Hollywood reporter Camille Paglia takes on famed Hollywood singer Taylor Swift. It is a story that was printed for everyone to see in the 2015 Women in Entertainment issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine. The headline, Camille Paglia Takes on Taylor Swift, Hollywood’s #GirlSquad Culture, and that is exactly what Paglia did.

She begins her article talking about different “girl squads” and even where the term squad originated from. Things start off normal, nice even, she is simply just challenging this coveted idea of a girl squad. However, that all changes when she writes:

“In our wide-open modern era of independent careers, girl squads can help women advance if they avoid presenting a silly, regressive public image — as in the tittering, tongues-out mugging of Swift’s bear-hugging posse. Swift herself should retire that obnoxious Nazi Barbie routine of wheeling out friends and celebrities as performance props, an exhibitionistic overkill that Lara Marie Schoenhals brilliantly parodied in her scathing viral video “Please Welcome to the Stage.”

While some people agree that Taylor needs to cut her act some people are obsessed with her every move. Let us know what you really think below.
