Is it bad luck for a bride to tie her newborn to the train of her dress and drag the baby down the aisle?
On Shona Carter-Brooks’ wedding day, she made sure to do things a little differently.
In the photo below, you can see the bride and groom arm in arm with one-month-old Aubrey in tow, as they make their way towards the alter at Elam Baptist Church in Ripley, Tennessee.
Despite the criticism the mother has received for making her child an active participant in their wedding, she hasn’t been paying it any mind.
Carter-Brooks wrote on Facebook:
“The answer is we do what we want, when we want, as long as Jesus on our side everything worked out fine and gona (sic) continue to be fine. Our 1 month old was awake and well secured on my train. Most important while yall got ya feelings in us we had our hearts in Christ which covers all!! So keep ya mouths running for it was just that Exclusive and Epic enough we made top blog way from small town Ripley, TN and the social media doing what they do, TALK!!!!”
What do you think? Are people just overreacting to the photo?
