The 2013 Golden Globe Winners & the Night’s Big Surprise

Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards delivered a lot of surprises. The 70th annual award show took place in Los Angeles, with hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.

One of the big winners of the night, Argo, took home the Best Motion Picture Drama and Best Director for Ben Afleck, who failed to earn an Oscar nomination. Les Miserables duked it out with Moonrise Kingdom, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen and Silver Linings Playbook for the best Musical and Comedy, and came out on top.

The biggest surprise of the night wasn’t a win however, but a presenter. The 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton, made an appearance to introduce Steven Spielberg’s film, Lincoln.

Even the big name actors and actresses were star struck as many of them took out their cell phones to take pics of the former president.

After his speech, Poehler exclaimed “That was Hillary Clinton’s husband!” and Fey followed with “That was Bill Rodham Clinton!”

Check out the list of winners and Clinton’s speech below.
