Check Out This $10,000 Coffee Table Made to Resemble the Ocean Floor

If you have been in search of some home decor inspiration and are a lover of all things nautical, look no further than this coffee table design from Duffy London.
It’s called THE ABYSS TABLE.
What is so amazing about this particular coffee table is that it was made to resemble the ocean floor, complete with its deep basins, exposed rocks, canyons, plains and channels.
A little about the one-of-a-kind table design:

Like all of Duffy’s designs, the Abyss Table is a conversation piece as much as a functional one. But while previous works play with gravity, this new design is concerned with depth, and creates a geological cross-section as mesmerising as the sea. The design team spent a year developing the table in their London studio, experimenting with sculpted glass, Perspex and wood, arranged like a 3-D representation of a geological map, until they re-created something of the mesmeric abyss that had first captured Duffy’s imagination.

This handmade work of art can be yours for just under $10,000. Oh, and we almost forgot, only 25 of these will ever be made.
Screw the clever storage options, textured rattan or heavily distressed planked solid hardwood, we’d much rather have this conversation piece in our living room.
