On last night’s finale of The Bachelor, Sean Lowe had to pick between Catherine Giudici and Lindsay Yenter. In the big proposal that took place in Thailand he picked the 26-year-old graphic designer, Catherine.
The proposal followed a meeting of the women with Sean’s family as well as final dates. Lindsay ended her date with the bachelor by sending flying lanterns with love messages into the air, while Catherine had a rough end to her date when she professed her love to Sean, who was not allowed to say it back.
The big moment came when Sean sent Lindsay home, received a final note in the form of a love letter from Catherine, and ended the episode with proposing to her and the two of them riding on an elephant together.
During the After the Final Rose Special viewers learned that the new couple plans to wed on television, though a date has not yet been set. The special also revealed the newest bachelorette as Desiree Hartsock, the contestant who was sent back on hometowns week, after Sean and her brother had a tense introduction.
As always, the three-hour finale drew shock from some viewers, satisfaction from others and lots and lots of tweets from all. We kept track of some of the funniest thoughts from twitterverse last night. Here are our favorites.
I never believe the bachelor is having a hard time making a decision until it shows him pondering by the edge of a balcony. #TheBachelor

This season of the #Bachelor ended with 2 classy ladies and a prayerful guy who isn't a douche. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO MOCK RIGHT NOW?

While asking my wife how she could watch The Bachelor for 3 hours she notes some of the midweek football games I've consumed. Fair point.
