The Kennedy’s Miniseries Starring Katie Holmes Slated for Sequel

Before Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes ended their marriage, she starred in a miniseries in 2011 starring a little known family by the name of “Kennedy.”

The eight-part miniseries called The Kennedy’s premiered on the Reelz cable channel back in April 2011, with Greg Kinnear playing the famous President Kennedy and Katie Holmes starred as his wife, Jacqueline Kennedy.

The miniseries had a bumpy start finding a station willing to air it, but it must have been a hit because Muse Entertainment Enterprises wants to create a sequel to it and air it once again on the Reelz channel.

“With The Kennedy’s miniseries we saw tremendous response to powerful storytelling along with an intense interest in this remarkable family. In his book, J. Randy Taraborrelli tells the incredible true story of the Kennedy’s from 1968 to today,” Stan E. Hubbard, CEO of REELZCHANNEL, said in a press release.

“The Kennedy family is truly a part of the fabric of America and we’re thrilled to once again work with our partners at Muse Entertainment Enterprises to bring our viewers this fascinating and continuing story,” Hubbard finishes.

The sequel will focus on material from the book After Camelot: A Personal History of the Kennedy Family, written by J. Randy Taraborrelli.
