The first male model in The Price is Right history has just been picked!
The show announced a model competition in August and hundreds of men showed up at the open call in Los Angeles, hoping to impress the show’s producers and the ladies. It was narrowed down to 26 men, who competed in various challenges- such as singing and writing songs, showcasing products and undergoing frantic costume changes- that were aired online.
Everything boiled down to three hunky finalists: Rob Wilson, Clint Brink and Nick Denbeigh. Wilson beat the other two through an online vote and is going to make history when he begins his weeklong stint alongside the female models on Oct. 15th.
The Boston native told viewers “I grew up watching The Price Is Right with my family and loved it so much I’d even fake being sick to stay home from school to watch!”
The game show has been on air since Sep 1972 and is currently hosted by Drew Carey. It airs weekdays at 11a.m. Eastern time.
