A two-month-old kitten has a very important job at a Polish animal shelter as a nurse. The jet-black feline, named Rademenes, provides bedside comfort to animals at the shelter that are going through rough medical treatment.
According to reports from Polish news channels, Rademenes was first brought to the shelter by his owners because of a respiratory infection. They dropped him off, believing that he would have to be euthanized.
Instead, veterinarian Lucyna Kuziel-Zawalich nursed him back to health, and he now lives at the shelter in Bydgoszcz, Poland, nursing other sick animals back to health.
He’s been dubbed the shelter’s “nurse cat,” and judging from the photos—posted to Imgur by user KimfromNorway— Rademenes takes his duties very seriously.
In his role as animal nurse, Rademenes spends his day hugging, spooning, nuzzling, and cleaning his companions—and he tends to both cats and dogs!
He looks like the most nurturing and loving companion a sick animal could hope to have.
