This Is What It’s Like to Remove $15,000 Worth of Caviar from a 20-Year-Old Sturgeon (VIDEO)

Sturgeon roe is one of the most expensive foods in the world, usually priced as high as $300 per ounce.

The reason this mysterious luxury is so expensive is that it take up to 20 years for the sturgeon to reach its maximum size. The largest, softest eggs fetch the highest prices.

In the video above, you’ll see chef Gordon Ramsay visiting a sturgeon farm in Spain, where he gets to experience what it’s like to catch, cut open, and harvest $15,000 of caviar from a single 20-year-old fish.
