This Real-Life ‘Hunger Games’ City Is Its Own Post-Apocalyptic World (PHOTOS)

Not all movie scenes are shot on a soundstage. There are real-life locations around the world for the Hunger Games trilogy that you can actually visit, including North Carolina, Hawaii and Paris. The latter is the most recent filming location for Mockingjay Part 2, the upcoming — and final — installment in the franchise.

The photographs featured in the slideshow above were taken in Noisy-le-Grand by Parisian photographer Laurent Kronental in a series called Souvenir d’un Futur (Memory of a Future).

The complex was designed by architect Richard Bofill, and depicts a sci-fi looking post-apocalyptic world, which provides some pretty awesome visuals for the highly-anticipated film.

Many of the complex’s residents watched scenes unfold right outside their living room windows, such as the large scale battle sequences between the Peacekeepers and Star Squad 45.

Mockingjay Part 2 arrives in theaters November 20.
