WATCH: What Happens When a Truck Drives Full-Speed into a Barrier

The Transportation Center at Texas A&M was contracted by the US State Department to create barriers that could stop explosive-laden trucks travelling at high speeds, around 50 miles per hour.

And that, as the above video attests, is exactly what they did. They didn’t even worry about creating a barrier that could keep the truck’s driver alive. In fact, it looks like any driver inside a truck that rams into such a barrier will be turned to human pudding.

Thankfully, they videotaped the barrier’s test from all sorts of different angles, and the sudden and effective destruction of this semi is a hoot to watch.
