It’s been a long battle, and it looks like Lance Armstrong is officially giving up the good fight against the USADA’s doping allegations. The group has accused him of using banned substances before races since 1996.
Releasing this statement Armstrong says, “I refuse to participate in a process that is so one-sided and unfair.”
It’s a far cry from his past statements that he was innocent and would fight the allegations. If nothing else it sends the message to his supporters that he has something to cover up, and the statement has shocked his many fans.
The USADA now plans to strip him of his seven Tour de France titles and ban him from ever competing again.
