So, you wake up in the morning and realize that there is an empty parking space where just a few hours before you had parked your car.
Not only that, the parking space is now marked as handicapped.
Getting your car towed might be one of the worst things in the world. The hassle of having to find out why it was taken, where your car was taken and how much it’s going to cost to get it back is just a huge pain in the you-know-what. Admittedly, there are people who deserve it — people who think parking in disabled spaces rules. But most people aren’t like that, which brings us to the story above.
Footage has recently gone viral after workers in Israel are seen painting a handicapped parking spot around a student’s legally parked car – then the car gets towed.
After the student, Hila Ben Baruch, discovered her car had been towed and not stolen, she had to pay a fine of $365 to get her vehicle back. The city was not convinced when she told them she was parked in an unmarked space and she was even called a liar by one city employee.
That is, until she recovered a recording from a security camera across the street.
City officials promptly apologized after seeing the video, returning her car and waiving the towing fee and parking fine.
