WATCH: This Old-School Workout for Women Will Crack You Up

We all wish for an exercise routine that we can commit to, but sometimes we fail because…well, gyms and yoga studios require exertion, sweat, pain, etcetera.

This footage of a 1940s gym for women shows ladies just standing there while machines do all the work. Pilates this is not. In fact, what these gals are doing is more like self-massage with moving rollers than anything resembling exercise. And they are smiling, with their hair in perfect do’s, and they’re not breaking a sweat!

We like this vintage fitness workout for women. Even though these ladies aren’t burning many calories, they are probably very stress-free after they leave “the gym.”
