Although seeing a volcano erupt in real life would be a cool thing to add to our list of life experiences, the thought of being around one terrifies the heck out of us.
Needless to say, we don’t know what it’s like when one erupts and we sure didn’t realize how loud it can actually be.
Luckily for us, the video above not only lets us witness a volcano erupting but also the massively loud sound it produces – all at a safe distance.
Check out what happened when tourists in Papua New Guinea filmed Mount Tavurvur from a passing boat. The sonic boom produced that caught up to them moments after the eruption is surely something to marvel at.
Make sure the volume is turned on and prepare to be amazed.
