VOTE: Hottest NFL Player of 2012 / 2013 Season

The 2013 Super Bowl is February 3 and most of the FTK staff have absolutely no idea who’s possibly playing — other than Beyoncé at the halftime show. But we’ll be attending a Super Bowl party nevertheless, for three key reasons:

  1. We always like a good party
  2. The commercials are fun
  3. We love hot, sweaty, muscle men in tight uniforms

Don’t judge. We’re at least being honest about it.

So with that in mind, we feverishly scrimmaged to score you a great article featuring the finest specimens around. We asked our Twitter team and Facebook fans who they liked, narrowed that list by the availability of sexy photos (totally not scientific), got tons of player info from funny NFL Fan Table host Amy Witry, and came up with the names you see below. Huddle up with these hotties, vote at the bottom, and let us know if we left off one of your top draft picks.

Rob Gronkowski

NFL player Rob Gronkowski is a sexy football playerThis 23-year-old fresh-faced cutie is the youngest on our list, and a tight end for the New England Patriots. And, being a bit young, Gronkowski decided to pose shirtless with porn star BiBi Jones, who then posted the pics on Twitter (above, left). He and his brother Dan (tight end, Cleveland Browns) did a more legit photo shoot with photographer Stewart Smith for Ceceba, a German men’s underwear line, as well as that naked-football-pinata pic in the collage up top. Ole!

Eric Decker

Eric Decker is a sexy NFL football playerAlso a young buck at 25, Eric Decker is a  wide receiver for the Denver Broncos. He’s also very happy (we assume) to have Peyton Manning as his quarterback as the team heads into the post-season.  Beyond being a good player, he’s also happy to send out sexy shirtless pictures of himself (and some silly ones, like in the top image) and also posed for GQ. Touchdown!

Ray Rice

Ray Rice is a hot sexy football playerAnother 25-year-old, Ray Rice is a running back for the Baltimore Ravens. He was ranked as the Ravens’ second all-time leading rusher behind Jamal Lewis in the 2011 season; he’s currently ranked second (tied with Willis McGahee) all-time for rushing touchdowns and third for combined touchdowns. And he has an amazing body with tatts. We don’t know where these pics came from, but we’re thankful to Google for helping us find them.

Clay Matthews

Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews is 26, well respected, and has a great shot of playing in this year’s Super Bowl. He also has this layout from  Muscle & Fitness that shows him off in all his Fabio glory. It’s amazing how good lighting, fine styling, and a lovely dash of Photoshop can transform a man into a supermodel.

Matt Forte

Matt Forte is a running back for the Chicago Bears, and he just turned 27 in December. He’s so hot that ESPN did a profile of his fitness regimen in their Sweat Spot column. These photos by Ross Dettman are from that story. Enjoy the images here, and if you want to read about his workout, visit ESPN.com.

Adrian Peterson

At 27, this baby-faced running back for the Minnesota Vikings is also known as “A. P.”, “A. D.”, and “Purple Jesus.” We’re not sure why– again, don’t know much about football– but we did send up a prayer when we found this layout from Muscle & Fitness. He’s gotten a ton of awards, and is the Vikings All Time Rushing Yards Leader.

Brandon Marshall

Brandon Marshall is 28 (turns 29 in March), and is a wide receiver who started with the Denver Broncos but now plays for the Chicago Bears. He set an NFL record for receptions in a game (that would be 21) and is one of only five players in NFL history to catch at least 100 passes in three consecutive seasons. Super cool, but we fell for him after stumbling upon this series of black and white shots on GrafxHQ.com.

Tom Brady

The quarterback for the New England Patriots is practically a senior citizen at age 35, but he’s still an amazing player (we’re told). He also got a lot of mainstream attention thanks to photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, who shot the player for Vman.

Tony Gonzalez

Tony Gonzalez is 36 and plays tight end for the Atlanta Falcons. He was recognized as an All-American in college, was originally drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs, and is widely considered to be one of the greatest tight ends of all time. At least, that’s what Wikipedia says. He also became a vegetarian in 2011 and did a pseudo-nude shoot with his wife for PETA. The pic is above, the video below.
