The embarrassment of having your credit card declined at checkout is enough to make anyone get a little red in the face.
On May 2, an unhappy Walmart customer in Mount Vernon, Washington, stabbed an employee after discovering that her credit card did not have sufficient funds to pay for her cart full of stuff.
After seeing that the 60-year-old was having trouble using the self-checkout service, Mount Vernon Police documents show that a female Walmart employee approached the woman to assist.
But upon hearing that her credit card was no good, the customer grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed the employee in her left arm in front of shocked onlookers, before wreaking havoc on more workers.
The woman was arrested and faces charges of first and second-degree assault, police said.
