We’ve just come across one of the best videos of the Ice Bucket Challenge we’ve seen to date. We’ve posted it at the bottom of this article, but in case you’re not familiar with the story behind this massive nation-wide challenge, here’s a quick run-down:
As a way to raise money and awareness about ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, Facebook users have been uploading videos of themselves dumping a bucket of ice water over their head and then challenging others to do the same. The viral phenomenon started in Boston and has swept the whole country, with everyone from your next door neighbor, to full police departments to 86-year-old Ethel Kennedy taking the challenge. We’ve included a clip below explaining the trend.
Now however, we’ve witnessed someone who actually has ALS also taking part in the challenge, and it’s kind of amazing.
Kreg Palko who has ALS took on the challenge along with his daughter Gabriella. The video, along with remarks from the duo, is posted below. We’ve seen a lot of these challenges, but none quite like this one. It’s nothing short of amazing. Check it out below.
